2,000 years ago, Jesus Christ was born in a manger. Although he came into the world in a humble way, given to an ordinary couple. This baby was God's answer to humanity's desperate need for salvation.
Condemned by our sin, we have separated ourselves from God and cut ourselves off from the richness of his blessings. God, because of his great love for us, wrapped himself in humanity and came to earth as a simple man in the person of Jesus. He lived and dwelt among us and, ultimately, sacrificed himself, all because of his great love. The cost of our sin was his life, and he gave it so that through him we might receive salvation.
